The Month of the Breast Cancer Awareness
Dear readers,
We reach the month of October, a month of solidarity in which we join the Breast Cancer awareness movement worldwide, it is a good time to raise awareness, promote early detection and show our support for those people who have been reached by this sad disease, which even despite all efforts continues to be a cause of pain due to the loss of loved ones in the hearts of families.
Breast cancer is a giant adversary that affects countless women and in some cases men, the statistics are grim and the impact it has on people and their loved ones is immeasurable. However, as we stand together this October we raise the flag and join our voices with all those people and institutions to emphasize the hope, the empowerment and the remarkable progress that has been made in the fight against breast cancer.
The power of awareness cannot be underestimated, which is why we join global efforts in a supportive reminder that early detection through regular screening is key to increasing survival rates. We consider it important and necessary to prioritize our health, to understand the risk factors, to perform regular self-examinations and to schedule essential appointments with health workers to undergo screening exams and mammograms.
The Breast Cancer Awareness movement began in 1985 by the American Cancer Society, it was a week-long activity that eventually extended to a month, it was in 1992 when the now world-renowned pink ribbon began to be used. as a symbol of breast cancer awareness. In history, important advances have been made in the research and treatment of breast cancer, campaigns, scientific discoveries and innovative therapies have improved the prognosis of many patients and it is vital to continue this encouraging momentum.
As we embark on this journey of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let us remember that together we are a powerful force for change. By raising awareness, offering support, and staying informed, we can make a difference in the lives of people affected by breast cancer.
Thank you for joining us in this crucial cause. Together we can work towards a world where breast cancer is no longer a source of fear, but a beacon of hope and resilience.
Sincerely
