Eva Scott: A Story of Determination and Passion in the Art of Beauty.

From Guatemala to the United States, Eva Scott has journeyed through challenges and triumphs, carrying with her an unbreakable determination and a deep love for beauty and aesthetics. At 36, she arrived in the U.S. with the goal of building a better life for herself and her three children. However, the journey was not easy; she began working seven days a week, balancing two jobs to reunite her family within the first year and to secure a stable home for her children.

Though Eva trained as a public accountant, her passion for the world of aesthetics was born long before that—when, at age 12, she began experimenting with the art of beauty on her own. With enthusiasm and creativity, she honed her skills until, years later, she earned a second professional degree in cosmetology, following the call of her heart.

“My father didn’t believe a trade was a real career path for me, so I studied a professional career first,” Eva shares. “But it was the trade that became my passion, and the one that would give me the opportunity to grow in this country when it was my time to emigrate.”

Upon arriving in the United States, Eva was clear about her goal: to validate her beauty and cosmetology studies so she could become certified and licensed in her new country. Despite the difficulties of this process, Eva succeeded, a milestone she attributes to her faith and a "miracle from God."

Thanks to this achievement, three years after arriving, Eva began what would become her own business journey—a story marked by challenges, betrayals, setbacks, disappointments, and new beginnings. Yet none of these obstacles stole her drive to improve or her faith in people and the God she trusted.

Throughout the obstacles and lessons, Eva found new opportunities and connections. Eventually, she discovered the perfect location for her salon, and when she saw the name "Oasis" on the sign, she knew she was standing in the place where her dreams would come to life. That salon became the space where Eva not only fulfilled her own dream but also created opportunities for other professionals to grow.

Today, with over 40 years of experience in the art of beauty, Eva continues to lead Oasis Salon, a space known for its welcoming atmosphere and its team of talented professionals. Eva Scott’s story is a powerful reminder of how passion and perseverance can transform our lives and the lives of those around us.
